In many physical phenomena and real life processes is very useful to know whether or not the underlying process is Gaussian. There are many Gaussian tests designed for series of independent observations. However, not all physical processes that one studies are independent, so it is necessary to define Gaussian tests for dependent observations. In this talk we will construct such Gaussian tests for $\alpha$-mixing processes. Afterwards, they are used for testing the Gaussian hypothesis in sea waves height records.
